Concrete Air Plenum, AIRFLOOR, Inc.

A concrete air plenum is a “green construction” recommendation, providing a means for delivering conditioned air that is integrated into a concrete floor slab of a residence or commercial building.  The product described here consists of hollow, interlocking metal forms and air registers that are covered with concrete, creating a low-cost thermal mass for retaining the conditioned air temperature as well as serving as a plenum through which heating and cooling air flows.  The completed installation consists of a comfortable radiant floor and ventilating system.
