The Ashbee plan is named after C.R. Ashbee, an English designer and entrepreneur (c 1890’s), who was a prime mover of the Arts and Crafts movement in the that took its craft ethic from the works of John Ruskin and lead to the Arts and Crafts architectural style in North America.
