The Shirley is a model house plan named after the Shaker New England town in 19th century Massa-chusetts. The oldest examples of this Shaker style architecture were likely to be yellow and white clap-board structures. Brick variations of the same house style appeared only after the founding of a local brick factory in the 1840s.
